CRAZY TAXI 3 PC REVIEW SERIES
The challenge lies in "Crazy Box" mode which is a series of 16 challenges that will test your nerve to the limit, you must learn all the tricks the game has to offer to beat them, "Skillful Driver" and "superb Driver" are easy enough and everyone will be able to get them no sweat. The achievements are simple enough, you will be able to get 100G within an hour for completing arcade and original mode. I rate the achievements based on how good I think they are rather then difficulty. The game is simple enough to play and fun enough to keep you coming back when all you want to do is have some fun and get a highscore.

You pick up a fare and drop them off, simple enough right? well on the way you will face a ticking clock which taunts you and hordes of traffic which are out to make your day as miserable as possible, you earn bonus money by getting near miss bonuses and drifting round corners, you also get a bonus for getting there fast. The gameplay is as fun and addictive as it ever was anyone who played it or any of it's sequels back in the day will know what I mean. I am glad to say that absolutely nothing has changed here which is perfect. All the other sound effects from tire squealing to the coin chimes as you earn bonus cash suit the game right down to the ground. Once again the announcer is still great and encourages you to go and make some "crazy money" pushing you to keep going for the highscore in traditional arcade style. Best thing I can say is to get the original soundtrack on a USB stick and play it in the background muting out the music that comes with the game. It's just not the same when you compare it to the old soundtrack. No more Offspring and Bad religion to drive along to, instead we are treated to a bunch of generic forgettable pop-punk. Sadly as much as I would love to praise the sound of this game as frankly it is amazing it gets serious marks down for one reason and one reason only. Being able to drop people off at various chain stores/restaurants and driving past FILA advertisements was a blast though now with those gone due to the companies not wanting to spring for the advertising you are left with somewhat of a dulled experience as you visit what looks like a closed down Pizza Hut for the 15th time in a hour. Now It would be wrong for me to dance around the subject of the advertising, this is remember just as much as the game play. The animations are smooth and while there is a issue with draw distance you never really notice it most of the time as you are to busy trying to dodge traffic. This game looked great back in 99/00 and though by todays standards it is rather ugly when compared to games from the time it still looks great. The graphics have been given a nice HD makeover and also you can play in widescreen. But of course I am talking about my memories as a kid, we are here to review the new updated XBLA arcade port of Crazy Taxi so lets get going. I loved this game and when I found out it was coming to the 360 I honestly got as giddy as i did when I was a kid. The gameplay was smooth, fun and addictive and you would always be chasing that arrow or hunting for those elusive green passengers. I persuaded my mum to buy it and soon enough I was driving past KFC and Pizza Hut while listening to The Offspring and Bad Religion.
CRAZY TAXI 3 PC REVIEW HOW TO
Comments would be appreciated and if you choose to vote negatively could you leave a reason so I can learn how to improve my reviews.Īhh Crazy taxi, I remember playing this in arcades sinking 50 pence pieces into it just to beat the high-score of some genius who called himself "TIT" I remember being all giddy when I first saw it on sale for the dreamcast in HMV. This is my first attempt at a review of any kind so please keep that in mind while reading.
